Description

The development of a your own personal philosophy on life and other aspects that matter to us is the basis for creating a plan to achieve our goals. The personal beliefs of a teacher plays an essential element in their progress to guide children on the path of learning.

The students I want to collaborate with at this stage in the course are students who suffer from hearing issues. This is due to the fact that students with slight to moderate hearing issues might be able to work in the general-education classroom environment with minimal modification. Additionally, students who have significant hearing loss do benefit from the full range of communication options that include the use of formal gestures, fingerspelling facial expressions, gestures, spoken words and body language within the classroom, regardless of whether it can be self-contained, or integrated, which is not much effort. In addition, those who have hearing issues can use the use of speech to communicate. Because they might not be able to comprehend the information being conveyed in a clear and concise manner, teachers are advised to employ a different method of communication, such as writing the message out as well as using an alternative word to draw the attention of the student before speaking to him/her.

Explicative instruction is a crucial teaching method that is used for special educational. It offers a clear system for students with hearing impairments to utilize when they write, read, or participate in group activities. Students with hearing impairments benefit the benefit of learning instruction that is specific and well-organized. As an educator, it is essential to assist students with hearing impairment to understand how to employ different strategies for tackling their work. Strategies for this may include using a graphic organizer that summarizes crucial information contained in an article.

The results of scientific research have revealed that the planning of instructional strategies and the decisions regarding the way to implement them for children with hearing impairments are often by personal beliefs and beliefs, as well as the ease with which they can be realized. Researchers have studied the characteristics of learning in students who suffer from hearing impairments in their analysis of what students learnhas helped them develop more innovative methods of instruction. One of these instructional strategies is direct instruction (Swanson 2001).

The benefit of this method is that students with hearing impairments can structure their thinking and devise ways to deal with complex problems by means of strategies to solve problems. Based on these studies , as well as academic methods, researchers working of special education expanded and confirmed the application of explicit instructional techniques. An examination of this instructional strategy , involving 10 learners with hearing disabilities, 4 (40 percent) of whom were highly skilled and showed that 50 percent (2 learners) of the gifted students were competent in organizing their thoughts and devise strategies to tackle complex problems applying problem-solving techniques.

Implicit instruction is an additional instructional method that learners with hearing difficulties benefit from the instruction that is properly planned. The implicit instruction strategy requires students’ participation in classroom activities. In general, it is an approach to learning that is centered around the student. It involves learning that can be learned inside or outside of the regular classes. Implicit interaction is a method of teaching that has the capability of creating a positive social environment which allows students with hearing impairments to connect with their peers.

In these interactions, and especially those that take place face-to-face, new communication strategies can be created. This could affect the quality of the teaching strategy utilized by students as well as the performance of the technology used to learn to teach the students. To increase the learning effectiveness of students with hearing impairments through an the use of an implicit instructional method it is necessary to establish of student groups in classrooms equipped with advanced technology. The research has shown that this strategy is extremely efficient opposed to the lecture method.

The advantage of this method of instruction is that it provides students the opportunity to develop various methods of communication that they can utilize and makes the instructional tools used efficient. An investigation of this instructional method for 10 students with hearing impairments found that 60 percent (6 students) could acquire methods of communication through interactions with peers. Of the six students, four students which was 66.67 percent used the learned techniques to make the technology more effective (Murdick, Gartin & Crabtree 2007).

The additional professional skills I’d like to master are trustworthiness and confidence. This is because confidence will allow me to offer methods to search for unique solutions for each student and their family’s issues. Being reliable in turn will allow me to make efforts to win the trust of the child who has a disability and be aware of their vulnerability as well as the vulnerability of their families.

The skills I want to develop through experience as well as continuing my education in how to assist and help students who have disabilities. Furthermore, I could learn these skills by attending and participating in various workshops on the best ways to assist and help students with learning disabilities.

It can be a challenging task for many to assist and support students who have disabilities. However having a professional and personal attitude to living and working is crucial because it allows one to quickly find solutions to assist disabled students and their families.
